Domestic Resource Mobilization

Advancing Health Systems Podcast Series, Episode 1

Advancing Health Systems Podcast Series, Episode 1

Domestic resource mobilization (DRM) has become a priority in low- and middle-income countries. But what exactly is domestic resource mobilization, and why does it matter so much right now?

This podcast answers those questions. Speakers explain how raising money for health services from domestic sources can shield countries from declining donor funding and help maintain progress in improving population health. They share real experiences from working with governments on DRM, and illuminate the connections between DRM and equity and financial protection for vulnerable households.
