Surge Support, Procurement, and Capacity Development

Critical Care and Ventilator-Related Technical Assistance

- Weekly, online, case-based discussion of challenging cases among facilities receiving ventilators organized

Building Laboratory Capacity in Diagnostic Testing
- Support for a national laboratory response strategy

LHSS supports the Government of Jordan’s efforts to institutionalize a mandatory continuing professional development system to improve health care professionals’ competencies to deliver quality health services.
The USAID Health System Sustainability Activity is helping Timor-Leste build a self-reliant health system that is well-governed, efficient, accountable, and responsive to people’s needs.
LHSS support for the COVID-19 Emergency Response in Uzbekistan was completed in November 2021. LHSS areas of support included laboratory diagnostic and personnel capacity building, infection prevention and control (including biosafety), rapid detection, reporting/surveillance, and response, and facility-level assessments to determine facility capacity to use ventilators.
