Event Summary detail

In this third event in our webinar series, “Ready for the Next Emergency: Helping Local Health Systems Emerge from COVID Stronger and More Resilient,” we delved into how collaborating with civil society organizations can lend strength to governments’ COVID-19 response efforts. Panelists shared experiences and lessons learned from countries that have harnessed trusted community networks to reach key audiences – and discussed how these same approaches could be used to support vaccine uptake and long-term health system strengthening.

This session featured remarks by USAID’s Matt Henneberger on the vital role of community health systems, community voice, and civil society in USAID’s Vision for Health System Strengthening 2030.
