Community Organizations in Timor-Leste Reinforce Healthy Behaviors for Maternal and Child Health

The USAID Health System Sustainability Activity in Timor-Leste continues to support the Ministry of Health in strengthening the existing community health system and expanding the CBM-Health approach to additional villages. In line with this, the Activity has awarded a grant to a local health Civil Society Organization to establish Village Health Assemblies in nine more villages within the Manufahi and Covalima municipalities. This initiative aims to increase service utilization, empower communities to take ownership of their health, and foster community participation in addressing health-related issues.
