Learning and knowledge sharing are fundamental to the LHSS Project. We invite you to search LHSS knowledge products and resources for the latest approaches, insights, and learning in the field of integrated health systems strengthening.
New capacities in delivering remote care are saving lives and strengthening Ukraine's health system resilience.
During this webinar, we use the HSS Evidence Gap Map to explore measurement tools and approaches that have been used to estimate impact of HSS interventions on health systems outcomes.
The Evidence Gap Map identifies existing literature examining the impact of health systems strengthening on health outcomes. Evidence is organized around USAID's Health System Strengthening Learning Agenda.
This two-pager focuses on USAID’s Learning Question 3, “What measurement tools, approaches, and data sources, from HSS or other fields, are most helpful in understanding interrelationships and interactions, and estimating impact of HSS interventions on health system outcomes and priority health outcomes?”
This two-pager focuses on USAID’s Learning Question 2, “What conditions or factors successfully facilitate the institutionalization and/or implementation at scale of good practices that improve health system outcomes, and why? What are lessons learned regarding planning for sustainability and achieving results at scale?”
In this video, learn how Colombia is strengthening HSS through: strengthening governance, promoting sustainable financing, accessing the provision of health services, and emergency response.
This document describes the process to be followed for the regular revisions of the EHSP and presents important elements that support the updating, so that an EHSP that is a sustainable, equitable, and accessible—within financial and other constraints—is delivered to the population.
Ukraine is facing extraordinary challenges to its health system amidst the Russian invasion, including attacks on Ukrainian medical facilities and infrastructure. To restore and maintain critical health services to Ukraine’s dispersed population, the Ministry of Health is strengthening its capacity to offer medical consultations via telemedicine. This two-page Progress Update describes LHSS technical assistance for the effort and results as of January 2023.
Colombia ha emergido como líder en la elaboración de políticas que integran a los migrantes a la economía y la sociedad, garantizan su derecho universal a la salud y movilizan recursos nacionales para cumplir con la creciente demanda de servicios de salud.
This is the first study to assess, with validated methodology and questionnaires, the perception that patients and health professionals have about the ease of use, usefulness, and general satisfaction of an application for the registration of healthcare information created by MINSA.
The Russian invasion of Ukraine has caused many doctors to leave the country, compromised patients’ safety when seeking care, and displaced large portions of the population away from their primary health care providers. A strong national telemedicine system will be key to assuring access to health services for Ukrainians, now and in the future. Experiences from other conflict/disaster areas may provide insights, helping Ukraine assess and implement its own telemedicine response.
This assessment of the tele-counseling services provides valuable information that should be used as an input by the MSPS for the decision-making processes related to the technical guidance that will be issued to organize the implementation of this strategy at the local level.
LHSS supported the MSPS to develop guidelines and recommendations not only for the provision of care, but also for rehabilitation and for health workers’ occupational safety and health. Once the protocols are adopted by administrative act, the MSPS will be responsible for the dissemination process. LHSS Colombia, as part of its transition plan, will be ready to support the process of disseminating the protocols to human resources for health working at the basic level of care in the prioritized territories.
This document identifies several scenarios for sustaining the use of Mi Paciente for monitoring ARI/COVID-19 patients, considering the socio-economic conditions of each territory.
LHSS is proud to present at the Global Digital Health Forum, December 5-7, 2022, in Arlington, Virginia.
