In this webinar, a panel was held where both national and local experiences on managing information and knowledge regarding the migrant population were presented, with perspectives from Migración Colombia, the Ministry of Health, and the Bogotá Health Secretariat. 

In this webinar, the challenges and opportunities for health financing that have arisen from the inclusion of the migrant population in the Colombian Health System were discussed. The strategies implemented by Community-Based Organizations to promote the inclusion of the Venezuelan migrant and returning populations into the Colombian Health System were also presented. Additionally, communication strategies focused on knowledge management and access to rights, with an emphasis on the Health Insurance System, were highlighted. 

At the end of 2022, the Local Health System Sustainability project (LHSS) analyzed the development of telemedicine in Ukraine and found a significant increase in the demand for telemedicine services in the previous few years. This was due to a combination of the COVID-19 epidemic and full-scale war initiated by Russia against Ukraine. LHSS supported the Government in drafting and ultimately approving a national Strategy for the Development of Telemedicine in Ukraine. In this strategy, one of the priority tasks was to define and further develop priority telemedicine services. This includes the development of technical models, algorithms, and business processes for interaction during the provision of medical assistance using telemedicine, as well as expansion of the functionality of the central database of the electronic health record system (EHRS) and medical information systems (MIS) in the field of telemedicine. 

The Jordan Medical Council, in collaboration with LHSS Jordan, celebrated the institutionalization of the Adult Critical Care Fellowship Program. 

LHSS Colombia and stakeholders held the "First District Forum for the Humanization of Health Services" in Cartegena. The forum united health experts from the academic and public sectors to share strategies and best practices for humanizing health services in Cartagena, a key commitment of the "Cartagena, City of Rights" Development Plan.

In this webinar, the quintuple quality goal and its application in managing obstetric emergencies were presented. Additionally, functional maternal health networks and their contribution to reducing maternal mortality were discussed.

With increased migration around the world posing unique challenges and opportunities for health systems, efforts to better integrate and include migrants and host communities in national health systems are an integral part of the global health equity agenda. 

In this webinar, pedagogical strategies for community-based approaches were presented by LHSS Colombia and academia, covering the context of community mental health and community-based mental health strategies. Additionally, healthcare providers shared their experiences with community networks for promoting and caring for mental health, specifically in the context of Cartagena.

LHSS Colombia provided training for journalists and social organization representatives to enhance their understanding of the right to health for migrants and returned Colombians, promoting narratives focused on gender and social inclusion.

As USAID’s flagship health initiative in Timor-Leste, the USAID Health System Sustainability Activity made significant contributions over the past four years, strengthening Timor-Leste's health system in financing, governance, and service delivery.  Key achievements include the advancement of health system governance, establishment of a Health Financing Unit (HFU) to oversee the Timor-Leste Health Financing Strategy, and creation of the Health Management Information System (HMIS) Technical Working Group to ensure ongoing data quality improvement.
