Securing Domestic Financing for Universal Health Coverage: Lessons in Process
Demand for health care is growing and external support is becoming more uncertain. Consequently, domestic resource mobilization (DRM) for health has emerged as an important topic in low- and middle-income countries. This brief discusses the lessons learned by USAID’s Health Finance and Governance (HFG) project (2012-2018) in its efforts to support ministries of health and their partners as they organized their work on and realized opportunities for DRM.
