This report evaluates the resources dedicated to telemedicine services in Ukrainian healthcare institutions. The primary goal of the study was to understand the current utilization of telemedicine and to analyze the costs involved, with a detailed focus on the components of these costs. The findings will support efforts to enhance the purchasing mechanisms for the National Health Service of Ukraine, paving the way for further improvements in telemedicine provision.
The health labor market analysis aims to provide an overview and analysis of the current status of the health workforce in Timor-Leste. The findings will serve as an essential resource for the MOH in building and managing a health workforce that is fit-for-purpose and fit-for-practice, as it develops the next iteration of the multi-year NSPHRH.

LHSS in Ukraine is supporting improvements in the legislative and policy environment so as to enable expanded access to quality medical services using telemedicine. The analysis consists of 18 chapters and covers a wide range of topics, including terms and definitions related to telemedicine, its role in provision of medical care in different types of health facilities, rights and responsibilities of patients and medical professionals, and more.
The East African Community (EAC) Secretariat, the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA), and the Pan African Health Informatics Association (HELINA) have concluded a commitment by all three parties to foster stronger health data governance to drive digital transformation and innovations in the health sector of East Africa.
To respond to the ICA findings and to address the issues noted above, USAID’s Health System Sustainability Activity (the Activity) worked with the NDHR and INS to develop training on health workforce data use for decision making. The training will use a problem-based, hands-on approach to train mid-level managers within the Directorate General of Corporate Services (DGCS) to use HRH data to identify challenges; conduct analysis; engage relevant stakeholders in the collection and sharing of HRH data; use of HRH data to support decision making. Most importantly, it will ensure equitable allocation of workforce and improve training and professional development opportunities for the health workforce across the country especially at the primary health care level.
Improved internet connectivity and capacity strengthening have increased timeliness and completeness of health data reporting in Timor-Leste. That makes all the difference for the country’s health officers.
With LHSS support, the Ministry of Health in Ukraine is connecting health facilities with telemedicine equipment, training physicians and patients, and forging other parts of an impactful telemedicine system: policies, transparent financing arrangements for services, and agreed-upon roles among stakeholders.
The adopted strategy will improve the quality standards of medical care using telemedicine.
