The East African Community (EAC) Secretariat, the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA), and the Pan African Health Informatics Association (HELINA) have concluded a commitment by all three parties to foster stronger health data governance to drive digital transformation and innovations in the health sector of East Africa. 

To respond to the ICA findings and to address the issues noted above, USAID’s Health System Sustainability Activity (the Activity) worked with the NDHR and INS to develop training on health workforce data use for decision making. The training will use a problem-based, hands-on approach to train mid-level managers within the Directorate General of Corporate Services (DGCS) to use HRH data to identify challenges; conduct analysis; engage relevant stakeholders in the collection and sharing of HRH data; use of HRH data to support decision making. This report details the current status of telemedicine in Ukraine and includes data gathered from nearly every region of the country. It provides areas for strategic investments that would foster expanded access, reconnecting Ukrainians to health care, and supporting the long-term strength and resilience of the health system.

This Catalog allows practitioners to consider which interventions have more robust evidence bases to support their practical application, such as: enhancing worker and supervisor competencies through training, offering nonfinancial incentives for high performers, practicing task sharing to promote cost savings, implementing digital solutions to expand access to services, and reducing costs of procuring and distributing pharmaceutical products.
